It's time once again to tear apart those trash bins in hopes of finding the
perfect materials to create your submission for the 2nd annual Junk to Funk
Recycled Fashion Show Contest.

This year's show is scheduled for Saturday November 17th at the Wonder
Ballroom. Deadline for submissions is October 17th.

Professional artists, apparel designers, along with the creative and crafty
public will not want to miss this truly unique opportunity to flash your
trash on the runway while competing for cash prizes up to $500.

Pieces of wearable art and fashion that are being sought should be made out
of found objects, recycled materials and things you might normally find in
the trash. Submissions will be judged on
1) percent of recycled material, 2) creativity and 3) craftmanship.

Deadline for submissions is October 17, 2007. Rules and Application can be
downloaded by clicking the Funky Lady on the left, or by visiting the
website www.junktofunk.org.

Make sure to also visit the website to view and post on our blog "The
Receptacle"; where you can learn and share information about recycling and
waste reduction, sustainable apparel, other recycled art events, craft
parties, and to share and exchange materials for Junk to Funk submissions.
